In this month's Theme: The Rise of A.I. Generators ,,,, I blended the concept of A.I users that are hostile and malicious with their intent in using the technology with the story of Godrick the grafted ... Failed Artists with potential of becoming great yet failed to endure and appreciate the process and journey --- that we call ART ...
I have been observing and been listening to the numerous discourse with A.I. Art ... how the capabilities of it can be beneficial .. and how it can propel human beings further in our never ending quest for utopia.... but such as we, human beings, we corrupt what is ought to be good...
A.I. Art Technology is a double edged sword... while it produces unbelievably stunning collage of art pieces, it also corrupts the meaning of ART itself... where countless samples are used to make an artform of a chimera in just seconds.... that has been twisted from multiple sources of Artist living and deceased and there is this sour taste in the mouth ,,that leaves a ingenuine feeling towards what it produces.,, what's worse is when an A.I. art user proclaim themselves as Artist... to the point where it is just DISGUSTING to hear...
ART is a Dedicated journey and what makes an artwork precious and meaningful is the time spent to reach that artform ... we can feel the struggle in the Art process... and often times to fellow artist seeing another artist's work ( after seeing the whole of the art piece ) we tend to fixate on how they achieved that certain line work, or that certain color or that certain shading technique, the sculpting techniques, or the amount of work to put it in a whole piece.
In a strange way, in certain circumstances, we somehow get to know and catch glimpses of the Being behind that art form ---the Artist itself.
Its what gives ART Value and meaning ...
we don't just see an artwork we also get to figuratively see the time spent , dedication and isolation of the Artist to get there...
And when it comes to the arguement of A.I. art users that use this Line
"Good Artist copy, Great artist Steal"
to justify the A.I. Art Technology.... Well I raise you my middle finger... They failed to understand what this saying means.... An artist may steal or copy an artwork.. but it will also take them great time and dedication to emulate the artist they copy and steal form. not seconds. there is also a silver Lining to that saying,, because that artist who copies or steals will somehow end up putting their own original flavor to what they are emulating and even boosting there identity as an artist the further they progress... and making the Artist ecosystem healthier as the cycle continues..... What do A.I. art users get? well they get better at typing prompts and still get nowhere at being good at making art ..when it comes down to it..
Food for thought: if you consume a whole meal in mere seconds, are you still eating and enjoying the meal?
Its funny how A.I. art is just meaningless...even to the users of A.I. art because they can produce another sh8t in seconds,,that it leaves them empty and unsatisfied Sad creatures..
IN conclusion A.I. ART users are not Artists.. they can never be called an Artist... they are inputters.. A being that just inputs prompts on a machine to deliver sh8t in seconds to fill their empty hearts..
P.S. Apologies for my harsh takes ....but its rooted on the incident where A.I. users were emulating the recently Deceased Kim Jung Gi in A.I. art program, days after his passing and that is just unforgivable..
